Hey, is there any Enscape info out there yet for Oculus Link? We have Oculus Quest, and am hoping that OL allows for for walkthrough rather than the workarounds I’ve seen on here.

No infos just yet; from the looks of it, it seems that Oculus Link should work well with Enscape VR itself. But there are no promises I can make yet - we'll find out more once it has been released.

Hey Demian, any updates thoughts on this ? My cable is on the way so I should know by Friday!

It should work from with Enscape from the get go if it supports any Rift games/applications, but no promises I can make yet. Gladly let us know about the outcome if you like!

Hi!
I'd also like to know how Oculust quest Linked works with Enscape? Do you get comparable result as with Rift?
Thanks,
-
so I have been messing around with oculus link and the quest and have mixed feelings. It is super easy to get working. The controls now work like the are supposed to, but the video quality is pretty bad. The bad video may be due to the cable. I am going to try out the official oculus cable when it gets release and hopefully that will fixe the issue.

We also ordered a Quest to try it with Enscape, cabled and/or wireless - still, let us know about your findings and welcome to our forum!

Has anyone had success with Oculus Quest with Oculus Link Cable?

Should work like a charm! We've tested it ourselves as well and we experienced no issues.
-
That is great news! Am i correct in saying that once your oculus quest is connected with link cable and you have green connection, when you are in enscape all you need to do is click the headset or does another setting need to be completed?

ArchuCAD You are correct. Just tested it with a 1' length cable (not very comfortable) but it was as easy as running oculus app, making sure it shows green connected with cable, enabling oculus link in headset, and then selecting the headset icon in Enscape. Worked like a charm!
Glad to hear that, also a big fan of the easy setups of both the Rift S and Quest.

Just to give this a little bump, since I pre-ordered the Quest2, I am very excited about the possibility of doing this wirelessly - anyone have any luck using Enscape with Sidequest and Virtual Desktop?
-
I have used the Quest together with Virtual Desktop (with SideQuest) and it works fine - but you will need a fast wi-fi signal.

I think it was here I got helped

Thank you so much! That's exactly the information I needed. I really appreciate your quick response and sharing.

Let us know how it works

I just tested Enscape with Oculus link and Quest 2 and it works beautifully. Just install the Oculus software, plug in your Quest with a link cable, add your Quest to the Oculus software and run VR with Enscape as you normally would and it works! The one thing I am still trying to figure out is to go wireless using Virtual Desktop. I will report back if I get that to work.

Awesome to hear that, thank you for the feedback. Much appreciated really!
