mirrors again

  • hi there,

    check the video please....

interesting thing is, when starting a render, for a splitsecond "the acutal image in the mirror" looks better or lets say less errors are in it an then some fancy stuff happens and all the glitches are back...

im literally begging you guys for some info on this issue ...

no infos on this for so long time is bad

but best of all > experiencing stuff in VR with enscape !!

There is already a lot of explanations and info regarding reflections in Enscape on this forum.

First of all, this FAQ post:

Why are some of my objects/parts of my project not displayed in reflections?

Also a number of forum threads:
    Rtx vs gtx
    Reflection issues
Errors in the reflections of the mirrors. version 2.6

Please let us know what info do you want to have, we will be glad to provide it to you if it is not in the FAQ.

  • with all due respect guys,

all im asking for, is a info: are you guys actually working on a solution for proper reflections in still renderings

or at least discussing it and thinking about it or is it off the table for good?!

all questions why reflections are what they are in realtime and VR -> its not the point .. its totally clear why they are, what they are... but im talking about stills

  • I can understand your frustration bsfranza . I'm afraid, right now there are no plans to implement a dedicated still-rendering mode for example, since technical hurdles simply don't allow "offline renderer" reflections using our real-time engine. These hurdles are still something which we're tackling and as you can see, reflections do improve further and further with every release, but there is no simple solution like adding a further Rendering Quality mode as mentioned to resolve this.

  • thanks for the definitive answer to the topic - much appreciated!
