Revit: Saving Field of View information for each Camera

  • I have a handful of saved views, and there are different FOV settings that need to be set for each view. Currently to print all these views the way I need them, I have to write into the name of the camera view which FOV it is, go to my Enscape setting, slide the FOV bar (rather than inputting the lens width), and then hit print, and then reslide it for each view and print them all independently.

I would like Enscape to figure out a way to record FOV metadata to the saved view so I can run the batch render command and it will know which FOV settings to use for each image. It doesn't need to align with Revit's FOV data, but if it is, that's cool too.

  • "Scenes" - as Damien would say; they are aware of the demand and it is on the agenda - when Enscape will have the ability to save this information within a scene is a good question and one that will be answered with the passage of time. ;)

Sorry for replying so late - as of yet, the plan is to have FOV, among other settings, saved in the corresponding views with Enscape 2.7. While I cannot make any definite promises yet, I'll still forward your feedback to our developers too. :)

Demian Gutberlet That sounds good thanks. Lets just make sure there's a way to change the FOV of a view once its been set. A management workflow of some kind to check all the FOVs being used across all project views.

That should also be possible just fine - I'll forward your feedback too though. :)
