Is it possible?

Anyone running Enscape with multiple GPU?

Possible to run it: yes. Will Enscape benefit from more than one card: no.

Ahh - I was afraid of that.
New feature request mostly for Video animation renders the ability to use NVLink at render time. -

I'm been running a pair of GTX 1070's for some time. All good for me. I'm confused about MatthiasL claim - is this true that Enscape only uses one card? Is this described somewhere?

"Where two dedicated GPU’s are installed using SLi, Enscape should still function, although only one of the GPU’s will be utilized by Enscape at the present time."

Yup, have to confirm. It is possible you experience a slight improvement compared to a single graphics card, but nowhere near anything like twice as good performance or anything.
For a real-time rendering software not relying on pre-baking lights or anything like that it is extremely difficult to manage VRAM properly on two graphics cards. We have this feature filed as feature request, though, so I have added your remarks as votes.

What about when rendering a video - is the boost there or could there in a future update? #featurerequest

Given the complexity, the fraction of users who have a dual GPU setup and the potential gain: It's probably not going to happen. We will continue to make Enscape faster for all users.

Thank you for clarifying. That certainly gives me direction for my next update (will likely go for one monster GPU instead of multiple less-expensive ones)
[Fortunately V-Ray uses them both so my dual setup is not for naught.]

I understand this thread may be 'dead.' I'm a new user to Enscape and the reason we went with Enscape is the VR capability. I read that this concept of SLI wouldn't be of use to pursue, but I'd like to throw in my 2 cents.
My current setup is using a rzen 2700x with 32GB ram and a 2080ti. Also included, Vive Pro with wireless. After hours and hours of testing, tweaking and tuning, I have achieved results that I (being quite a computer nerd) would call permissable. The two largest keys were having a lucky purchase of a very happy to be overclocked video card and upgrading my motherboard supporting pcie 4.0.
10-30% improvement with SLI may sound like small potatoes, but when overclocking that yields a 5% gain brings a 2080ti from choppy to permissable... How much better would 10, 20, 30% be? I presume it would a lot. A hell of a lot.
The idea that we can get ever closer to real life is what drives us in the presentation side of things. Higher and higher resolution headsets are not far off and the better your sofware is, the closer to being the best in the business we are.

Hi, i just found this post and its a year old. im planning to build a workstation now, any updates on this feature of enscape utilizing multiple GPU's?

I left you an answer in the thread you've created.
