I know the reasons for disabling WASD keys on the web standalone,
but I think it should display the arrow keys on the 'hud' instead of the WASD to not confuse people.
Also, I have noticed that the hud is disabled by default if you have that setting enabled from Enscape.
It may be beneficial to set that independent to the regular Enscape viewer vs web.

I've checked and when the "Show On-Screen Help" setting is enabled, the interface shows in the web standalone, and when it's disabled, it does not.
Do you say you would prefer a separate setting for this HUD just for the web standalone? Or did I get something wrong?

Yes! you are absolutely right. I would like it to be separate setting as I normally keep mind off as default and have to remember to enable whenever I am saving out a standalone.

that is a known issue with the preview version. We have fixed it for the next preview and release.
Personally I would prefer using WASD, but we just had to many people closing their tab with CTRL+W
Can't you have both? And only 'advocate' using the arrow keys?
The problem is that people are used to hitting CTRL+W in the normal version of Enscape. Although you can override most key input in the browser, certain key combinations are not overridable for security reasons. For example you can't override Esc or ALT+F4, which would stop the browser from exiting full-screen or closing. CTRL+W is the same thing and so we have little power on that. Only if we disable CTRL in all instance and fundamentally change the behavior it could work...
