Problem since installing Revit 2021

  • since installing 2021, I am having problems in 2020 Revit with Enscape. I know Enscape has not released for 2021, but this is the only difference I can think of on my machine, other than an Adobe update.

I have lost legibility (the menu does not show in Revit for Enscape only), and there are some UVW issues for differing materials both during preview and render. Attached you will see a screen shot of the menu and both a preview and render shot of the project. Note the patterning via material on the slab is no longer square with the project, although the material created has no rotation embedded in the definition.

    Ideas, suggestions?

  • There is a few degrees rotation between project north and true north, but changing between the two orientations in the project does not affect the patterning. The rotation is approximately the angle of the rotation of the pattern in the floor slab. The other patterns (roof, walls etc) have been correct so far.

Hi Robertpolk , in the first instance, can you give our latest Preview 3 a try? We now support Revit 2021 with that version too. If that doesn't help with any of the problems, please kindly get back to me.

  • I have spoken with Autodesk and we resolved the issue, however without an explanation for what caused it. Somehow a reference plane became embedded in a floor definition (according to the support person it wasn't supposed to be that way). Anyway, when I suggested using the " view workplane" It showed the plane properly in the screen view, but when modifying the floor the edit mode was rotated. A little bizarre. With enough experimenting we were able to get the floor corrected, but no real answer as to what caused the issue.

Hmm I see. Thanks for letting me know, unfortunate that there has been no real answer we could forward to other users, but still, thank you none-the-less. Now we know that Autodesk should at least be able to assist in these cases.
