I've made a project model with contextual massing and topography. Is there a way to increase the distance that Enscape can render. There seems to be an outer limit where the building massing and topography in the distance is cut off. Here is a screen capture to illustrate. There are tall buildings and hills in the center on the horizon that are modeled but do not show up.

Hi FHT & welcome to our forums!
at the moment Enscape clips geometry at a distance of 7km by default as this suffices for most architeture projects and provides better depth precision (less flickering geometry). However you can overwrite that value manually if you really require to render larger scenes, however bear in mind that this comes at the price of both reduced performance & precision.
To do so, you'll have to locate your Enscape installation first: For current releases that would be in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins by default, for our current preview version it's the installation folder you chose during installation, default would be C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Enscape.
In the installation folder you should already find the existing systemPre.cfg & systemPost.cfg file. Simply create a new text file and name it userPost.cfg. Open the file and enter the keyword r_farClippingDistance and the desired distance in meters. For example:
r_farClippingDistance 15000
If you want to switch back to the default behaviour, just delete the userPost.cfg file.
Hope that helps & if you have further questions don't hesitate to ask!

I suppose so an equal command can be used for the near clipping distance, right? Missed here in the past.

This looks like a userPost.cfg.txt file. You need to show the file extensions in windows explorer to see/change that.

you guys are great! works now, thanks!

Hello (first contribution)
Could anybody tell me if it's still working with Enscape 2.8? I have tried several times but not working for me...

This workaround doesn't seem to work.

There might be a better way. Load the site into your project. Then render the site (minus building) as pano file. Then load panofile as skybox. This should be much lighter than loading miles of site context at all times.

I would have to render the pano with a different renderer because the Enscape pano export has similar* visibility issues.
*Interestingly, the clipping plane seems to be a forward projection clipping plane so I can see distant objects as long as they are in the camera's periphery.

Increase the clipping plane to render the pano? Then replace site w skybox.

I can't get the clipping plane to change. I've tried config file user override but doesn't work.
