I was wondering what are the recommended 3rd party software programs for assembling an image sequence into a high quality video? I have tried with Sony Vegas but I lose all of the beautiful lossless quality in the .png images. Thanks for any recommendations.

Adobe Premiere and After Effects are what I use....great combo but not exactly 'budget' minded if that's what you might be after!
