A new residential design concept integrating WFH function brings the concept of the Chinese Garden style into a 960 sqft modern living detached house in Toronto.
A series of wood fin partitions and hidden cabinetry are carefully designed through the space to balance the openness and privacy, light and shadow, clarity and indistinctness. The wood fin partition at foyer creates privacy and layering acting as a ritual passageway connecting and separating the outside and inside. The hidden cabinetry max the storage space and streamline the living spaces. A wood partition with operable sliding widow as a sculpture piece joins the baby's sleeping room and parents' working space.
