Blank white screen after 2.8 update

When I start Enscape from Rhino, I get a blank white screen and no visuals whatsoever. Even on a fresh model or a model that previously worked well. Using version 2.8.0 / Rhino 6 SR8.

This happened straight away after I installed the update. I assumed there would be a fix so just left it for a couple of weeks but I see nothing and read nothing about it and getting worried.

Have restored default render settings.

Thanks, let me know! im on a deadline of course, will probably now try to roll back to 2.7 in the interim. Am I missing something obvious??

nickflutter , I'm very sorry to hear about that.

In this case, perhaps you want to indeed downgrade to a previous version so that you can meet your deadline and please also send in a feedback report:

Hi Demian Gutberlet,

I am having the same issue regardless of program, Revit, Rhino, and Sketchup plugins all work with 2.7 but yield blank white screen with no navigation or anything after installing 2.8. I have tried the 2.9 Preview release and having the same issue. I am running 2.7 for now until bug is worked out.

I'm sorry to hear about that - in that case it would also be great if you could send in a feedback report as mentioned in my last post. Thank you in advance. Also, does this occur in any project of yours, and can you make sure that your NVIDIA (https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx) or AMD (https://www.amd.com/en/support) drivers are up to date depending on which GPU you have installed?

Hi Demian

I have been experiencing exactly the same issue as described above.

Enscape 2,8 for revit was working fine up until yesterday afternoon.

This morning when trying to rendeer a model in enscape 2.8 for sketchup it loads succesfully and shows the enscape tab in the task bar but it is minimized and does not want to open or maximize. When hovering over the tab it shows a "preview" of a blank white screen.

Futhermore I have updated my Nvidia graphics card driver and uninstalled enscape and reinstalled an older version (enscape 2.7) and it does exactly the same thing.

What is the progress on resolving this issue as it appears a number of users are struggling with this?

If you did, simply send me a DM with the e-mail used to submit the report itself so that I can look it up in the system, to then forward to our developers.

Hello, did you try to uninstall Enscape and delete manualy the folders named Enscape remaining in Wondows before reinstalling ?

Try removing the "RendererWindowsHost_WinState.json" in the .../Documents/Enscape directory:

We are still unsure why this happens but this might help.

I have been experiencing exactly the same issue as described by others above. No matter what project I try to open in any 2.8 version,

all I get is a white screen.

Is there any solution for this problem yet?

I have the same problem, and I tried Chris's solution, but nothing is working.

Also, sometimes it told me there is a problem with my license.

From the day I downloaded it never worked, every time I have a new thing.

Finding the same issue with 2.8 and 2.9. I did some troubleshooting but it didn't solve the issue.

- Tried using both Sketchup and Rhino

- Created a new model on both programs with one piece of geometry

- Uninstalled and reinstalled both versions of enscape

- Deleted all local files (whatever I could sniff out in AppData)

- Modified the background texture to see if I was just looking at the "white background" option.

- As Chris suggested above, I tried removing that .json file. No luck, and after closing enscape that files gets recreated.

I'll submit some feedback regarding this problem. Something I noticed is that the minimap renders out correctly.

I was able to get Enscape 2.8.2 working this morning. I had to purge all the enscape files from the appData folder, I thought I did that before with no success but I might have missed some lil' buggers

I had the same problem yesterday, and I noticed that if I render with the "synchronized view" bottom on, the render is blank white, but when I turn it off before rendering, it works.

Looks weird, but I have tried different files and all of them are working with the synchronized view bottom off.

I hope it helps you guys too.

To anyone still experiencing this problem, in case the proposed workaround from Christian Radowski above does not, please kindly send in a dedicated feedback report. Tpark , please reset your Visual Settings or make sure that you haven't turned the "Saturation" to 0 in the Image tab. if that doesn't help, please also send in a report.
