Video preview - start from any point

  • It's important to check video preview so that it moves smoothly, or not going through any objects. The problem is, I can't find any other way but run preview from all the way back beginning. It's a huge waste amount of time. Is there any way to start preview from any given point?

  • I thought I was trying that, and it didn't work. Maybe there was something I was missing. I will try that again.

Should be working fine still, with 2.8 too - let me know in case it doesn't please!

When I tried it inside a key frame editor, pressing "p" didn't work. That's why I posted here. But after I got the confirmation it should work, I kept pressing "p." It worked.

Strangely, now that it worked once with pressing "p" several times, I can just press it once to initiate preview from the point of the key frame editor.

    Thank you.

  • Since we are talking about key frame, could you please provide a way to delete several key frames (not just remove all). I had to fix one thing in video, but obviously I didn't want to render the entire video. I had to delete so many key frames one by one only to get the portion I needed to place in Premiere Pro.

Also is there a way to make video editor much wider? When the video is long with a lot of key frames, it's borderline impossible to select a key frame I need.

Pardon; I just saw your post. We'll introduce some dedicated Ui improvements soon to the video editor - among other things the video editing dialogue should be wider. Your wish to be able to remove multiple keyframes at once has also been forwarded of course.
