auto exposure

it seems to me that disabling auto exposure has no effect...enscape keeps auto adjusting, or i might misunderstand this setting.

i have created a large box with an opening in top. if i stand inside this box and i look in a dark corner the lightness / exposure changes.

if i disable auto exposure i guess that i should have the same exposure where ever i look or? that does not seem to be the case - at least for me.

Hi Jorgensen,

if you disable Auto Exposure the exposure should be stable. But there can be still differences in the brightness, as you are looking in a bright spot

or into the dark corner.

Maybe you've experienced some rendering progresses as you were turning so it might look like an change in the exposure.

Could you share some screenshots and your current version of Enscape?

here are two images.

both set with the auto exposure off. when i turn the camera into the darker part of the space, it seems that the brightness is adjusted.

and where does all this light come from?

Hi Jorgensen,

thanks for sharing the screenshots.

Please try to deactivate "Auto Contrast" in the Image tab of the Enscape settings.

This option tries to give the viewer the best possible sight, similar to "Auto Exposure".

So in order to prevent automated adjustments in brightness and contrast you have to deactivate both options.
