Another one that would be nice is 'workplane based'. You want that off for a lot of site elements, but for accessories, that should almost always be on (no one needs to host a book to topography, but hosting to the top face of a table is very common).

So in the standard planting family - Always vertical - is turned on..
and for most objects that is fine..
but sometimes you want to turn that function off.a good example is the cars.. but of course lampposts you want always vertical
would be nice if this was build in...
This is an issue we come up against all the time with some of the the Ensacpe assets (especially cars), it really does not help that Enscape still puts all the assets in the Revit plant category...... I know why they do it (it allows scaling), but certain things like cars don't need to be scaled..........
Would be good if this could be set as an instance parameter in the Ensacpe asset placeholder family (not sure if this is possible), but would definitely be worth investigating.

For what it's worth, if it bothers you a lot, you could consider messing with your installation files a bit:
%localappdata%\Programs\Enscape\Data\RevitFamilies holds the template used to generate assets. You could consider editing that template and unchecking "always vertical".
You can create a family template in Revit by creating a new family based on the template you want to change, than saving it out as a family (.rfa), close it, and change the extension in windows explorer to .rft
I tried it and it works fine (see a revit2020 example in attachment).

Template file is a good idea.... but i only see EnscapeCamera and EnscapeSoundsource in that directory

hmm weird, I see Metric Planting.rft in there as well, even with the latest preview installed.
Maybe search for Metric Planting.rft on your drive?

Better to associate Enscape assets to Revit Family. Allow Revit component to control graphics, schedule, LOD as normal but display Enscape asset when rendering. Now if only I could modify origin and orientation of Enscape asset....
