I noticed that when I click on "render into document" the file doesn't show up if I have a section box on my revit 3D view. I need to create an oblique view, and its not allowing me. it gets to about 84% then it just stops. I deleted the section box to see if this was the issue (after lots of other things i tried) and the render did work and showed up in my file. then after that, i turned the section box all over again, and had to re crop everything, and then it actually worked fine. I wonder if next time I restart REVIT, or next REVIT or Enscape update, i would have to do this all over again for all my 3D views that contain a section box?

Yes please more diversity would go a long way. I have not used any Entourage for this reason. Imagine if the number was flipped? 235 noncaucasian out of 285.

I’d love that !!

thanks for all your help!.. it ended up being that Formit Elements are read as "blobs" in revit. So you need to apply the materials within Formit and that is all.
"The Formit elements dont give you the flexibility to apply materials and other parameters yet" -
Hey Thanks for reaponding. So I’m not too sure of the terms you’re using. But I went inside the family editor and I created a material and finishes parameter and applied the material name to it after having created the material. Then used the paint tool and painted it and it didn’t work.

Hey folks!
so I made an object in Formit and didnt give it a material because I wanted to give it a "REVIT" Material. but then when I do it, the object stays white. any way to do this ? Basically i think my Formit Object is not reading REVIT Materials in Enscape. -
Awesome rifkin you very likely saved me a ton of headaches. Ill take a stab at this Microsoft Remote Desktop! I have never set these kinds of things up myself but it should not be so difficult.
I really appreciate it friend! cheers! -
rifkin !!! great idea! do you know what I should use to do so? I def have decent GPU. thanks for this idea !!

Thank you Paul Russam I was told something similar of why Enscape isn't compatible with Parallels. its a bummer that REVIT isn't on IOS and neither is Enscape. I defer to having two models, one for sketchup to use on IOS and one for revit for windows.

+1!!! now more than ever I can't go into the office and use my PC. my job provided me with a MAC and I can't run Enscape via parallels. lol. also , I use REVIT so I definitely have to run it on parallels. I would consider Bootcamp but splitting the hard disk and rebooting the whole machine at this point is hard to consider. anyways, if it happens to be available in the future for parallels, it would be a great convenience. thanks to the whole Enscape team and community!!

+1 formit!! I think it may be a huge advantage if materials from formit could transfer to those of revit. right now that isn't the case. it seems like a big challenge but with tons of potential. specially if Enscape is considering a material editor within Revit.

Rick Marx yes, sorry about that. Youre right I gave super subjective adjectives. Lots of these are "high end cars" but I hope that this time I get my point across in terms of how some cars can be more interesting to show in a render/animation at least in combination with some of the fantastic cars Enscape already provides. Let me know if this was enough. Im not much of a car savvy so I literally just googled "old cars" and tried to filter out thinking of how to make a scene look diverse from an era standpoint. thank you for replying Rick!

thank you.
im not sure what the opengl thing is about, but then i hope parallels provides with opengl 4.4 hehe
yes Enscape for Mac would be great, I use REVIT, so I would have to transfer my model to sketchup and then be able to use Enscape in sketchup for mac. Maybe REVIT will be for Mac in the far future.. hehe.
thank you anyways! -

Is Windows Parallels (OpenGL 3-I think) going to be supported? I’m sure this is a very niche scenario but it would be cool. I have a MacBook for when I visit clients and it would be nice to show them tenders while at client meetings. Also for when I work from home, I sometimes would like to render things. I’m aware that bootcamp is compatible but bootcamp is not beneficial for lots of my workflow. Anyway, it would be nice to know this could be considered at least hehehe.. I’m sure some others would be like Yay!
