Agreed! Unity has this and it allows you to do a Photoshop modification and then apply it to all renders or videos. Very slick workflow.

I'd like to add, this causes problems pretty much on a daily basis.
-
Sounds good. Remember this is a low input, high value proposition. Super easy to implement and extremely valuable to clients.
-
This not being implemented is still major weakness of the VR software. Without a laser pointer, a VR meeting can do more harm than good by impeding the conversation between the client and architect.

Demian Gutberlet This issue has been flagged many years ago, its really annoying that this is not resolved.
This feature is much more important than any graphic improvement. My users cannot understand how it is possible that such a major problem has not yet been resolved despite being flagged so long ago by so many people.

+1 for baked lighting possibilities!
-
If Enscape goes AR, I hope they do baked lighting. The only decent tethered device is the MetaAR and it is not possible to buy it at the moment because of lawsuits and change of ownership.
If Enscape supports the magic Leap and Hololens 2, especially with multiplayer, then it would be a game changer.

Never buy a Quadro card, that is a scam for uninformed IT departments.
Try to get a RTX card if possible, you get some path tracing and the product will likely evolve to keep using these RTX features.
-
Yes, there seems to be a limit to the amount of lights that are supported at once.

To edit IES files, use Photometric Toolbox.
https://lightinganalysts.com/s…ometric-toolbox/overview/
I'm not sure if the Photometric viewer will also allow you to edit IES files.
Mostly, why would you edit IES files? If the light is wrong, then choose another light fixture with the right light profile.
-
Analyzing this picture, it seems like there is dust or smoke in the air. You COULD try to model an actually volume of smoke or dust and apply the true lumen values and IES files into the lights fixtures. I doubt it would work well, but could be worth trying.
Enscape does have built in godrays, but for real godrays to appear, light has to hit something physical: water droplets, dust, etc.
-
These god rays are hard to do on advanced non-realtime rendering. Actually the new RTX version of Enscape kind of has them, but not as dramatic.
-
IrisVR and InsiteVR can do this. A lot of others as well, but maybe not as well developed for collaboration. As you can imagine, collaboration is critical to the architecture industry, especially when dealing with clients who have never done VR before or want someone to hold their hand in the model.

I would like to see support for some of the AR platforms. MetaAR seems like a good one to support since it is the only one connected to a desktop graphic card, even if it has a wire.
It takes a long time to prepare the model to be ready for VR/AR if you do it manually in Unity. All I need to do right now is place the model in the world (on my table for example) and rotate and scale it. If it could be multiplayer where multiple people can see it, it would be great.
-
If anything, just support OpenVR instead of specific headsets.

The person on the computer screen should be able to use a laser pointer so that the person in VR can see what they are talking about.
The person in VR should be able to use a laser pointer that is NOT the teleporter to discuss items with people outside VR.
Small development effort, major communication improvement!
The most awkward thing is watching people in and outside of VR trying to figure out what the other is talking about
-
Switching between views often corrupts the Enscape session. Elements disappear, etc.
This also needs to be available with VR and accessible for the person on the computer so they can control what the client sees inside.
-
Please add alaser pointer so that people outside VR can point to things inside VR with the mouse.
It`s very awkward when users outside VR try to communicate3 and the person in VR has no idea what they are referencing. This is a simple and easy fix.
