I think the number 87 is correct. Some trucks, helicopter and scooter have more models in them. It's part of the 3.5 release. But still the truck-trailer combos are missing....

I think the faces with grass texture that Enscape uses are too wide to fit between the tiles. So Enscape simply can't fit a "grassface" between them. Maybe a displacement texture works in this case if you don't do any closeups?

In the latest update 3.5 I'm missing some trucks! The boxtrailers are missing and so are the combination of truck and trailer...

Please bring them back. I use these all the time.

I still use both renderengines. I only have a 8GB RTX 2080 so when rendering larger areas with lots of trees Enscape quits. Twinmotion can handle larger amounts of polygons. Also for some renders/video I need animated cars, people and bicycles. This cannot be done in Enscape (yet?). On the other hand. I really like the Enscape assets. The cars and vegetation is much more suited for me then the trees in Twinmotion which seem mostly not European oriented. The workflow is great with Enscape. No importing and adding materials (I created my own material library that is loaded in my SU template). So still using both for the coming time I guess.

Don't forget that D5 and Twinmotion are both based on the Unreal Engine which is much more developed (rain, volumetrics, etc). So the render engines build their skin around that. It is also the reason that both renders can handle larger polygon counts for trees etc giving them more detail. Unreal Engine is absolutely great at all those things. I have Twinmotion as well, but as mentioned the speed and direct integration of Enscape makes it more suitable for my workflow.

    Best,

So I have used Enscape when it was open Beta and got a trial license for that. Now that it is released I want to try it out with all the features that were added in the release version. Problem is that my trial license has expired (open beta one) so I can't trial the "full" version now. Is it possible to reset this or ask for a new trial license with another email address?

But you can easly create that with the existing objects.... no need to add more itens that " duplicate" others...

You are right, but it takes some time to pick a desk, a computer, a mouse, a keyboard, a cup of coffee, some papers, etc. to make a busy desk. I know you can do this once and save it as an custom component in Sketchup (as I've already done). But new combined assets could be a nice addition I think.

Hi, could you give any timeframe for the next update. I'm really hoping to get the assets so that I can open my Windows files to see if renders are similar to the Mac version. So far renders look very good and it all runs quite OK on my iMac 27" from 2017 with AMD eGPU.

I would like to see some combined assets. For instance a desk with computer, mouse, paperwork etc. Or multiple people talking. Or a dinner table with chairs, plates, glasses, etc.

Wouldn't it be easier to export an "enscape" model. Which can be opened in a separate program? I don't know if it's possible to export to a Mac format in Windows and vice versa. It could be like a pdf which can be read/opened on both operating systems. Also the filesize could be smaller since you don't have to embed the Enscape renderer and UI in the same file.

I only hope that Apple will support eGPUs with the M1 (or newer) Macs. I use an eGPU for my iMac and I hope it will be supported with Enscape. That is one of the main reasons I use Windows for my work at the moment.

Is this already addressed? As a fairly new user I must be missing something or not? I also find the presets to be unintuitive. When you create a new one it should use the settings that are applied at that moment. And they are automatically changed when I change something in the options. There should be an update button for that as well. Again as a new user I may be missing something. :)

    Best,

If you are rendering in SketchUp you can set the date there in the shadow options. Archicad has something similar. Don't know about other programs though.

This also changes the sunheight according to the date.

Cool! Thanks for the ideas! I will try both. Most shots are exterior where I just need some quick and dirty geometry for the interiors. That's why I used the method as described. The cut through components are indeed a great way for interiors and if I made them lowpoly enough can also work for exteriors as well. I will post some results. Thanks again!

    Thank you Demian,

I have tried it out but it is not really what I'm after. I attached two textures. One is the albedo. And one is an emmisive map where I specified which parts of the albedo texture emits light (white pixels) and which parts don't (the dark pixels).

I hope this explanation makes my question easier to understand? I also attached an examplerender. (I made a separate plane with only the lamps in Enscape)
