I sent the log files for a re-built model with only a bathroom scene where I'm still having the same exact issues.. note that since my initial forum post I've tried the following trouble shooting measures:

1. downgrading to previous versions of my graphics card drivers (three iterations back),

2. previous versions of Enscape back to 3.4.4

3. I've tried various visual settings:

a. Auto Exposure

b. Render Quality - from ultra to high

c. All Effects off

d. Ambient brightness - various settings

e. Sun brightness - zero

f. Night sky brightness - zero

g. Shadow Sharpness - zero

e. Skybox - clear and an HDRI

f. Video compression quality - BluRay, Maximum, Lossless

g. Frames / Second - 30 and 60

4. I've run the same render on another machine w/ a different graphics card

Nothing has solved the problem.

This makes my animations unusable.

I know this is an old topic but I am currently experiencing the same issue with enscape 3.5. I alreaday tried everything I know to fix the problem. I even tried rendering just a few white boxes with no texture at all just the sun for the lights. But I'm still getting the same result. Its like producing a very dark shadow from the first frame. Like Akuma shadow in street fight when he moves, if you know what I mean.

I too am having similar issues with animations. It seems as if I have two issues, one with shadows remaining in the initial position, and another where an object will 'scrub' away a shadow as the perspective changes to reveal a lighter surface. Its important to note this does not happen during the render preview, so it seems to be a problem with the actual render engine.
