Thank you so much for your reply. Indeed, I did what you said, downgraded my driver from 30.0.14.9649 to 30.0.14.7212 and the problem is fixed.
I can continue my project calmly now, haha! Thanks again.

I'm sorry to bump this post, but in 3 days I've gotten no replies and my problem with the section cuts still persists.
If anyone has any clue what the problem might be, I'd be very grateful.
Update: Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Enscape. No effect whatsoever.
Hello.
I'm experiencing a weird problem with my Enscape and SketchUp since yesterday evening. If someone could help, I'd be very grateful.
Whenever I put a Section Cut in the SketchUp viewport, my whole model completely disappears from the Enscape viewport.
Moving the camera around, I can randomly relocate the model but I lose it the second I move the camera to another angle.
It looks very much like the clipping issue in SketchUp models but for Enscape.
Tried tweaking all the settings, starting from scratch in a brand new SKP file, reducing graphics - nothing.
PC settings:
Windows 10
i7 8700
16 GB RAM
NVIDIA GTX 1070 8 GB
SketchUp version: 2020
Display MoreHey, can you send a screenshot of the scene out of SketchUp...
Enscape makes a difference between soften Edges and sharp edges...
i paste two screenshots with sharp an soft edges. Maybe it helps.
I can reassure you my faces are all smooth and curved; it's common knowledge an unsmoothed face will create the banding problem so making sure the faces were smooth is the least I could do... But as I proved earlier, the problem is in the Soft Shadow setting.
renderwiz thank you for your input and interest. You're right, finding the bug didn't help to solve the problem.
I tried to scale the whole model to see if it would make a difference. There is a slight change in the banding problem when I scale the model 5x. Here are 2 pics to compare with a scale estimate.
This is the original. The archways are ~30 cm apart.
And this is 5x bigger. Archways ~140cm
Even if I scale it 10x you can still see the banding problem. It fully disappears when you set Shadow Sharpness to 100%.
Sorry to bump this post but I'm still struggling to fix this problem. Can anyone help?
More pictures here. The surface is smooth in SketchUp and it's a solid. Even applying a texture doesn't mask the banding problem.
Hey everyone.
I'm experiencing a problem with Enscape that I've never had before. I think it's new because I never noticed it before. Please see the picture below. I have a weird "banding" problem when I shine the sunlight on this curved surface. It's a simple semicircle with 24 sides. Tried reducing the segment count, copy pasting, drawing from scratch in a brand new file. Checked graphic card updates. Nothing helps. Is this normal? I don't remember ever coming across a problem like this before.
Thank you very much Demian. Meanwhile I will have to figure out a workaround.
Dear Enscape people,
I have a quick question for the developers. I'm not sure if this is how the program is supposed to work, or if it's in fact a bug.
Is it normal that the emissive feature of a material doesn't work if the texture is applied to a face-the-camera component?
I'm modeling a fire torch and the fire is a simple rectangle with a texture of a fire on a transparent background applied to the surface.
The emissive material works fine as long as the rectangle is a regular component. However when I set it to always face the camera, the emissive feature disappears.
Is this normal?
Thanks a bunch in advance.
