You can't easily duplicate assets at this point. There's a complicated workaround by doing it manually inside the asset project but it's tedious.
Consider adding your support to this feature request, so that duplicating assets for material variations would become unnecessary: RE: Changing materials
Hi Pieter
I have added my support to the feature request.
You say that there is a tedious way. do you know where i can learn about that way? Because at the moment i can't find original OBJ model i did use. I there a channel on this forum, that explain it?
Thanks

Hi
Is there a easy why to Duplicates my own custom asset, if i want the same chair in another colors in my custom asset.
I am working on a project, where i am going to use chairs in different colors,
is there something i can do to make a duplicate of an asset i already made and then change the color of the object.

Demian Gutberlet Alright, was just hoping that i was possibel to get the blacking closing face on the enscape model as well. but i have to find a workaround

I ran into a problem where enscape don't close the gab/surface where the cut happens. Can I fik that or it that not a thing i enscape yet?

Got it. Thanks a lot.
So, after also having a quick chat with our developers, this is generally caused by our temporal anti-aliasing technique. Such patterns (ranging from bright to dark in such a contrast) seen on the ceiling especially are notorious for causing these artifacts. We're looking into more advanced anti-aliasing techniques for the future, but at the moment you would have to refer to a more "simplistic" pattern. I know this isn't ideal, but we also really hope for your understanding.
I do understand and thanks alot for taking a look on the model.
still good to know that it wasn't something i had turned on, and didn't know how to remove again.

I have uploaded it now
there is som custom enscape asset in the model i dont think you can see

I'm sorry to hear about that - is there any chance you could share the project with me then? (I can gladly send you a dedicated safe upload link through which you could share it) Our developers would gladly have a look at this - if you cannot send us the project at all, could you kindly show me the material settings of the material which is used on the roof (where we can see the problem)?
I can send you the file, that would be nice, is there a way you want me yo pack the file?
-
Can you kindly go to the General Settings Performance tab and disable Auto Upsampling ? Does that help? That should already do the trick, but please of course get back to me in case it does not.

Try lowering your frame rate.
I tried that, i didn't work

Thanks man, I will have a look on that.

I could be nice to have more control over how strong the shadows are.
-
i thing your solution in advance setup download
And how can I do that?

I wanted to ask if there is a way or maybe in the future were the standalone web file can get the same quality as the .exe file you?
-
Definitely something I can see coming in the future, especially once an Oculus Quest (or another standalone vr headset) is released with better than smartphone hardware (or of course smartphone hardware that is powerful enough), so that Enscape standalones can run directly inside the headset, even if just in Draft/Medium Rendering Quality in the beginning.
Another solution, which will require a PC though, would be using the Quest wirelessly, but then you'd also need a good internet connection at the clients place. This would still help with avoiding cables that can reduce the immersion. Just so you're aware that this is an option if this is new to you!
Summed up, the future is holding a lot of great things when it comes to VR in general like better displays, no cables, standalone hardware, even better room-tracking etc.
It is nice to hear you could see it in the future.
about the one where you run it with the PC and the wireless Quest, can you do that with the exe standalone or du jo need to do it through sketchup and Enscape?

Hello All,
This is going to sound weird, but I can't locate the Enscape.config file to modify. Thus I can't see my custom assets. All the other steps of the tutorial have worked, but I seem to be stuck on this final step. I've done a search of my entire C: drive for anything related to Enscape.config to no avail. I'm running Rhino 6 SR2.8.
Did they move to some other configuration file type?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Is it this file you cant find to edit?

Thanks Pieter
I just started using your asset creator yesterday, Thanks for making it.
it helps alot with some of the heavy models. and a lot easier to get more models into the file and faster than looking around my pc to find the model.
Got the first 40 models into the program, and just started putting some trees in as well, godt the mask textures to work, so that is nice
