So although this issue has been resolved, and there is no problem with Mac 4.0 Preview, it did bring up a need for triggering a user pop-up alert when the link to a Skybox file has been broken. Adobe Illustrator handles this very well, and would be a good template to follow: when you open a file where the image links are broken it immediately alerts the user.
There's a pop-up for when the link to the default folder for rendering folder breaks, which would work well for alerting when the Skybox link breaks.

The Material Editor (or any other window) no longer maintains focus on the top of the render window (screenshot below), they are all under the render window.
Also, I still have to click on a SketchUp material a second time in SketchUp to have it populate in the Material Editor in Enscape.

I was using the Mac 4.0 Preview 4 (not 5 as stated above) yesterday without issue. Today I now have what looks like a graphics issue. Reported a ticket #217961
You can see the full-color screenshot of SketchUp, vs the grey screenshot of Enscape. I've also included the version of SketchUp and Enscape. Let me know if you need anything else to diagnose this issue.
Restarting SketchUp/Enscape did not solve the issue. Nor did restarting my computer. Ventura 13.6.2
Update 1 : When I closed out of the SketchUp model, leaving the Enscape window up, the render fixed itself (last screenshot) but of course, this doesn't let me work on the model.
On a very important side note, pressing the Space bar for fly/walk mode does not work, mind you it hasn't worked for some time.
Update 2: I reinstalled an older version (Escape version - 2.1.0) and I had the same grey render issue so I figured maybe my model was the problem. So I copied/pasted all model contents into a new SketchUp file and relaunched the Enscape render window in 2.1.0 and the render was now working as expected. Then I reinstalled Enscape Mac 4.0 Preview 4 and now the render works on the new SketchUp file but not the original one I was having issues with.
Update 3: Problem solved! Ok, so the issue was that I moved some folders on my computer which broke the link to the Skybox file in the Visual Settings panel—which in turn dramatically changed the rendering style given the exposure settings without a Skybox. I didn't get a warning regarding this from the Enscape app so I thought there was an issue with the Mac 4.0 Preview.

Enscape uses horizontal FoV. Sketchup uses vertical FoV. (why Skp chose this is a mystery.) Make your image aspect ratios square and you will have a much easier time getting them to line up in PS. Crop the extra sky/ground you don't want.
Thanks, but I'm confused as to why you're talking about FOV. This thread is about rendering edges.

The results don't look like expert level yet.
Hey vncasinoio What do you mean by results? Is there something/anything on this front?

Yeah, that’s the vibe I get from CHAOS for sure.

Otherwise, go vote on the Volumetric Light Ideas in the Feedback area:

I don't see Volumetric Lights as an option to vote on anymore. Why did this disappear or am I missing something? Demian Gutberlet

Demian Gutberlet Any updates on when volumetric lighting will be implemented? From what I can see from other threads and your comments, it's been on the to-do list of Enscape from back in 2019.

Any update to this in the last 4 years?

georgelegner , the ability to have volumetrics for artificial lights is already on our agenda. This has been requested before a few times already and I'll add your for feedback to the feature request on our agenda. Not ETA regarding when this will be implemented though. We currently already have volumetric lighting for our sun - simply add fog via the Atmosphere tab of our Enscape Settings. Just in case you weren't aware of that already.

arcgraphics suguru thank you fore reporting. Would you mind showing examples and maybe even share a basic repro case project?
I also can't share due to NDA, but I'll see if I can find some time for a mockup later, I imagine you should be able to create/test an example pretty easily with the same dark results, but perhaps not.

Demian Gutberlet Can you comment on this request? I'd like to know the same.
CMacWilkins were you able to figure anything out?
