Newest preview says RTX support, exactly what does that mean, is there a comparison of images someplace that shows what we are gaining with RTX support. Would be helpful in future hardware upgrade decisions. Also, is the RTX support automatically engaged if RTX card is present or is there a switch that must be checked?

interesting idea. Have you looked into Pyrevit, automation is endless with that (as long as you can code)

+ 1000 for this option

Having issue where if view has sun source in it with HDRI as background black boxes will appear. As soon as i look away lighting returns to normal......kinda like in real life...lol

Nothing in the world has perfect 90 degree corners, introducing rounded corners tricks the brain and gives better elusion of realistic.
-
I create all my own materials and maps. I also source a lot of maps from the online texture warehouses. Just use high quality images and put all the maps in correct places and enscape will produce great images. Let me know if you need to know my workflow.

Lumion has this option with a realtime engine, my guess is Enscape could as well with a little work. I agree, modeling rounded edges in Revit is a really bad idea.

looks like in the new update the HDRI part is not working. If you put one in the atmosphere box the background now turns all black?
JUST STARTED WORKING....weird!!
And then turned all green, then black again.... somethings not right

Is there the ability to have just a back plate in enscape, not full spherical hdri. This would be very helpful when doing site insertion. If enscape could pickup the photo used in sketchup and render on it. Has anyone successfully performed this?

what is the "layered screenshot" in the latest release?

Awesome, thank you Simon you for the quick correction.

here is what revit sees and renders... (really quick sorry for grain)

here is what it looks like in enscape

Attached would be a perfect example. Thr materials show up in realistic view and shaded view inside revit but enscape renders all black.

I agree completely. Seems we are stuck in a middle world. The sketchup version of enscape has all the goodies and extra items that can be brought into the model but a horrible material system (not enscape's fault) The revit version has a awesome material setup but no content. Needs to be someway to marry the two together. Other render engines have been able to do this in the revit environment. Take maxwell for an example, they made it work to a point.
The revit version needs content and the sketchup version needs materials

Anybody else run into the problem of enscape not reading the materials from a imported object that is designated as free form. I get one material in enscape when the object has 6. all other rendering software understands the materials?

Material editor for sketchup is a must.

Anyone seen this error before? Simple EXE export.
