Paul Russam - Thank you for providing us with this information, this may resolve the issue for some users. However the issue seems to be affecting GPUs with less processing power then an RTX 2080. It is especially interesting because when they roll back the system updates the issue seems to go away. So it probably has something to do with the Windows updates as well.

@bsfranza Thank you for your post. I can see how this may cause you issues in your specific case. Keep in mind that Enscape was created to be a relatively simple and elegant tool and we are always rather careful when it comes to adding new functionalities.
Also, Enscape should only export data that is visible in the scene. If this issue occurs again in the future, maybe try to reduce the stress of memory usage in SketchUp as well, you can right click on parts of your project in SketchUp and "Save as external model for Enscape".
Otherwise I am glad to hear that 2.5.3 version of Enscape has improved your stability and overall experience with your current project.
If you will have any other ideas or issues regarding Enscape please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Hello, and thank you for your question. It is definitely possible that having multiple instances of SketchUp open could also affect the stability of Enscape.
Having more than one project open at the same time consumes more computer resources, which can cause less stability.
Otherwise using the Preview version of Enscape could also cause such issues, since it might be less stable than the official Enscape version.
If your issues will persist, please make sure when a crash occurs to forward us your feedback with the logfiles so we can have a look at the issue.

Kal, thank you for writing us back. Usually the issue gets resolved with re-installing SketchUp.
Sometimes simply restarting the computer after uninstalling does the trick.
Would you also please be so kind as to completely uninstall all versions of Enscape on your machine, via the Windows Add/Remove Programs? Furthermore please be sure to remove the following folders as well:
C:\Users\<YOUR_USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Enscape
C:\Users\<YOUR_USERNAME>\AppData\Local\EnscapeC:\Program Files\Enscape
After you have done the above please try to reinstall Enscape.
In case your issue persists it would be a good idea to contact us on our support channel - support@enscape3d.com.
There you can also send us your logfiles manually:
Enscape main plugin log files:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Enscape\Data\LogsSketchUp plugin log files:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Temp\Enscape\Logs\EnscapeSketchupPluginYou can send us all the files located in the above folders.
Looking forward to your feedback!

@mgrugl, thank you for your suggestion! I will also add your request as a feature request for our developer team. I you will have any other suggestions please let us know!

Thank you for your request.
You are referring to a material picker inside the Enscape rendering window?
A potential workaround in your case would be to activate the "Synchronize Views" button in the Enscape toolbar.
That way you could use the "Sample Paint" in the SketchUp window and at the same time have an overview on how your model looks in Enscape as well.
Otherwise, I will also forward your request for a material picker in Enscape window to our developer team as a feature request.
Please don't hesitate to share any further ideas or feedback you may have, as we're always grateful for every piece of insight.
