I played around with different settings and this is what I found out. Virtual Desktop DOES support VR stream from Enscape directly into your Oculus Quest 2. What you need is to SIDELOAD Virtual Desktop via Sidequest after purchase and normal installation. You also need to activate developer mode in the Oculus menu and install the streamer app on your PC.
You might need to uninstall your Steam VR app from your PC, as it seems to conflict with the Enscape app while streaming. Overall, the solution works, however, the stream, and especially the popup menu above the left controller is glitchy and some movement modes are unavailable. You can still teleport using your light-beam under the right controller.
We do have a 5 GHz router and PC attached via LAN cable, however, the network setup might still be far from ideal and cause the issue described above.
Seems like we need to wait for the official stable version of Virtual Desktop that should eventually be able to replace Oculus Link... until then Oculus Link is good enough
