Adding more feedback here:
The system does not cache at all for me. It has to reload assets everytime. So as intended it doesn't seem like its currently working.

I just want to note that transparency in this context is different than your typical material transparency. If the material was transparent, you would see the inside (like a bottle), which would be weird with people and trees.
I think what the request is here, is a transparent 'layer' if you will.
+1 to what Pieter said.
Demian Gutberlet I'm still suffering from this issue. I'm using a 1080 Ti. Revit 2019.2. What else do you need?
Gadget that sounds like an issue regarding Walkthroughs/animations. What about still perspectives?
I find this planting category thing to still be an issue.
Its hard to defend a miscategorized object in a BIM environment, even if it does have better functionality.
I agree that these elements need to be scalable.
I also must insist that they need to be distinguished from one another.
Give me a way to apply a view template that would allow me to filter element using the tags you have already setup in your library(Accessories, Planting, Vegetation, People, Male, etc.). Please add the tags to a family type parameter, like type comments or description. That way I can at least parse through them using filters (ie. Hide all people, but keep trees, etc.)
Pete Chamberlain Make it so that all of it is stored locally, so we can read it quickly, and then choose to update as needed via internet. An internet check everytime is killing us. Seconds count!
self-explanatory^
Hi,
During heavy design phase the "live sync" mode is rather annoying. Rather than an on/off switch I would prefer it to be OFF by default (or at least have the option to) and then press a hotkey to push the data over to the enscape environment when its the right moment. It would eliminate me from having to turn it off, which I forget to do, and it causes lagginess and glitchiness because its trying to "print" in between user inputs. Its a 4.7 Ghz with a 1080 TI so I think I'm in the upper tier of hardware performance and I still think this would be helpful. I consider myself a power user of the product and I'm using enscape as a design workflow tool not just for presentations. thanks.
Love the idea of it being stored in the material name
I have a handful of saved views, and there are different FOV settings that need to be set for each view. Currently to print all these views the way I need them, I have to write into the name of the camera view which FOV it is, go to my Enscape setting, slide the FOV bar (rather than inputting the lens width), and then hit print, and then reslide it for each view and print them all independently.
I would like Enscape to figure out a way to record FOV metadata to the saved view so I can run the batch render command and it will know which FOV settings to use for each image. It doesn't need to align with Revit's FOV data, but if it is, that's cool too.
If Enscape asset development team were to make the mesh invisible in plan, and then nest a detail item and give it a parameter to be other types, It would give us flexibility to choose amongst loaded detail items in our project and apply it to that particular enscape asset
Not sure what the method for fixing is, but I don't want to have to wait for the same asset to load in the browser every time I open Revit. It seems to cache during one runtime of Revit, but on a new instance or computer restart I have to load again.
Wow really no one is interesting in working this way?
Suggestion A
Give us the opportunity to pull views from the model and witness changes from 2 or more perspectives simultaneously
There is an experiential difference between selecting between views and seeing a split view from a designer's workflow perspective. For example, I may like a change I made on the outside of a building, but I want to see live how that changes the interior experience of the building. But now I need to make small changes to find balance (sweet spot in my alteration) that works with both perspectives.
Suggestion B
Give us the opportunity to create a split-screen view but link the viewers, and then show different design options in each viewer.
I think there's a way to simple implement this without trying to open pandora's box.
During design it is helpful to be able to quickly switch back and forth between textured and rendered to discern whether a design issue needs to be solved at a volumetric level or material/color level.
I have exterior and interior views with different exposure needs on a favorited set for batch rendering. With the new upgrade, the batch renderer just picks whatever the first exposure setting is and applies to all, rather than auto-exposing each image if the auto exposure has been checked.
This is really annoying. Its causing lots of spinouts when working quickly.
