Hi,
With the ability to now create our own custom assets, which is a great addition, is there any plan in the future to have something similar to '3D Warehouse' ?
It would be great to share our custom assets with other users
Thanks

Within Revit you can change the normal map height of your image/material between 1-5 but as far as we can see this doesnt seem to change much within enscape...?
Should we be using 'Bump' instead of 'Normal' images. Any advise on best procedures would be appreciated
Thanks
Jacob
As simple as that!
Worked perfectly, thankyou
Hi,
We have created some night renders but for some reason the artificial lighting is coming out blotchy. Any idea how can this be resolved?
We have attached images for assistance
Thanks in advance
Jacob
Thanks both of you for your help with this, very useful!
Thanks for your comments.
We generally use one of the Advanced Revit Materials as a base then amend the images accordingly. As you mentioned we have also found that normal map gives the best effect. Within the Revit control you can normally change the normal map height from between 1-5 but not sure if this then actually changes anything within enscape...?
Depending on where we download our textures from we sometimes get a ROUGH map but this isn't always the case. So would you recommend not bothering with a roughness image if we do not have one or use the Displacement image as we have done?
Do you use Ambient Occulsion images at all?
We use sketchup texture, texture heaven are there any other websites you use for textures?
Hi,
What is the best way to set up our Revit materials to get the best results in Enscape?
When & where should we be using DIFF, DISPL, NORM, SPEC etc. Do different materials require different setups?
Appreciate that this is a broad query, but any help would be appreciated?
Weve provided a screenshot of a material we have created, this seems to work well for the brick. However using similar principles for gravel it just lacks depth. Are we doing this correct?
Thanks in advance
Jacob
Also, other software has the branches/leaves of the trees slightly swaying to illustrate a breeze. Is this something Enscape can do or will be doing in the future?
Demian thanks for the reply.
Yes that will work well, but will just have to spend some considerable time linking all the assets. We don't do the elevations in enscape as we need them to be to a specific scale on a sheet (e.g 1:50 on A1). The majority of our jobs we also model the whole site and using the Numpad shortcuts then doesn't show the building elevation in isolation. For example we normally model the surrounding buildings for context, the numpad views then show the surrounding buildings. I suppose we could create a section scope box in Revit to provide the cut along the elevation, but again this is additional work.
If we do replace target families can this be saved as a template, we use a floating license so want this to work on different machines? Also I presume the asset links remain anytime an update is installed?
Thanks
Jacob
We have been populating our models with trees and hedges, but there seems to be a lack of hedging, in particular native hedging. It would be great if there were a greater variety such as Hornbeam, Hawthorn, Beech, holly etc. Is there going to be any new additions?
Also is there an option to change the size of a tree, the Enscape assets are a fixed size, which limits their use. Revit RPCs for example you could change the size to suit project specific contraints
We currently use Enscape to produce all our renders for architectural projects. However our elevations are produced in Revit where we have the view set to realistic within the graphic display. The Enscape asset trees, people vehicles etc then show up as 'boxy' greyscale images (as per attached image). Previously we used the Revit RPC trees which show up great within a realistic elevation (as per the attached). Is there anyway this can be achieved using Enscape assets?
