Hi all,
sometimes even if the texture is placed correctly in sketchup, it is returned incorrect in ENSCAPE...
WHY?
A clarification: the surface was first treated with SketchUV, but then the material was replaced by removing it and applying a new one.
The result is that in sketchupthe mapping continues to display correctly, while Enscape has come back to the starting point as if SketchUV had never been used.

Is it possible to disable the tag for automatic material recognition? Skatter already has materials in their proxies that have the word "grass..." in the material name. Escape recognizes the TAG and modifies the bush structure by replacing it with a 2D preset which (in this case) worsens the effect. The alternative would be to open all the skatter Proxies and re-edit the materials one by one. In my case I have several customized ones and it would greatly lengthen my working time.

Hi
I am experimenting with an external GPU connected to my Dell laptop, unfortunately Enscape won't recognize my HMD when connected through the external GPU.
Do u guys have a work-around? Other VR apps have no problem. I am using a Razer Core X (with a 2070) connected to a Dell Precision 7530 (with a Quadro P3200 + Intel 630)
using ENSCAPE:
You have tu deactivate internal dedicated GPU . Otherwise Enscape freeze at 5% looking for multi GPU.
in my case I have to deactivate internal P3200 to force Enscape using EGPU (Rtx4000)
You have also to connect external monitor directly to Razer Core (EGPU) if you want to work with dual monitor

Hi, I did some tests
There is a way to decide whether to cast shadows or not.
I have tried a little experiment and it seems to work.
No Shadow: create a white transparent default material and set the opacity to the maximum value; the result will be an opaque material that does not cast a shadow.
If instead I want the opposite ....
Transparent material with shadow:
create a second white material without activating the Transparency option and assign it to the reversed faces of your object.
The result will be a transparent material that casts its shadow.
Unfortunately it is only a trick, so it is not very flexible; it is not possible to make 100% transparent objects and it does not affect the intensity of the projected shadow.
