I've added my voice to the issue from 2012. SketchUp devs seem to be well aware of that.

New information: This issue was around for a long time (and still is), but only showed when Enscape tries to display a webpage with first step instructions (normally only after first installation). Once you "X" the webpage it doesn't show up again and the issue doesn't happen anymore. Unfortunately our certificate expired (which is now fixed), which prevented the webpage to show and you were unable to "X" it away.
If you click away the webpage with the first step instructions you should be fine. If that doesn't work you can disable it in the settings.

pibuz We're using the https://ruby.sketchup.com/Geom….html#uvs-instance_method method to read the UVs from the geometry. Unfortunately SketchUp doesn't give us the correct UVs if the face doesn't have a textured material explicitly assigned. So we are unable to achieve what you wish for.
Do you know other software that handles this case correctly? If so, there is hope.

tas_1985 I actually hoped you could try out all the previews versions from https://enscape3d.com/version-history-preview/ and tell me which introduced the bug.

Hi tas_1985
We are still not able to reproduce the issue you have. We may need some help from you to find it. Can you please tell me the last working enscape version (release or preview) and the first non-working enscape version (release or preview). From what I understand 2.7 worked and 2.8 didn't. It helps a lot to know which 2.8 preview still works.
Regards,
Simon

Because that's the version that most users should use. We can't control it on the level of CAD versions.

Curious why the new RELEASE version today does NOT include AC23????
The AC23 implementation does not meet our quality standard yet, because of some stability issues regarding live updates. So we decided to not release it officially yet. We're working on it and will do our best to release it in an upcoming preview version.
Until that time you're free to use the 2.6.1-preview.5 version, but be warned that it has some issues in AC23.

_nique Nuge Wade Stephens and all the others: we just released version 2.6.1-preview.5, give it a try

dvsone1440 Because we changed how settings work it was impossible for us to convert all settings to the new format. You might have changed "Invert SpaceMouse" in 2.5 and now it's back to default. Open "General Settings" and look under the "Input" section.

winterriver1971 Try to delete all folders in %TEMP% with a name like "EnscapeStandalone_r4wcbqk3.huj"
It looks like the standalone is not extracting any files there because the folder already exists, but some files in there got deleted.

Fixed in 2.6.0-preview.6
Unfortunately panoramas that were created with preview.5 have the wrong data in the xml file and will fly to the origin.
-
Should be fixed with 2.6.0-preview.6, please try again

Nuge We'll take a look at it. Since the reason behind it is at the moment totally unknown (as for most bug reports) it's hard to give a realistic estimate. Can take an hour to fix or a week. I've scheduled it to be fixed before we officially release 2.6.

Micha Changing the internal ID requires a lot of effort from our side and probably will introduce new bugs, so we decided not to fix this for now. It will be fixed once we switch to the Rhino ChangeQueue, which we can't use right now because McNeel doesn't fix some bugs.

Micha Light distribution of area lights is different from that of point lights. I don't have any deep insights into why the limitation exists but I'm pretty sure it is a combination of performance and correctness considerations.
RTX by itself does not allow anything that wasn't possible before, it is just a performance improvement that allows us to do more/better calculations without affecting user experience.

Keyboard interaction in the ArchiCAD plugin is fixed in preview version 2.5.0.108-g12a9b91

Prime Is, by any chance, the surface itself without a material and the texture is applied at the component/group level?
This has never been supported, SketchUp does not give us the correct UVs in this case.
