This has been an issue I've been dealing with for quite some time.
When the plugin was first released this wasn't a problem.
At some point they changed something and Enscape no longer produces curved surfaces.
I've addressed this in other threads and opened a support ticket and nothing got resolved.
I was told this is how it is supposed to work.
The only way I've been able to fix the issue is to convert my object into a mesh and turn on mesh smoothing.
This of course removes any ability to edit the object.
See example images below. Solid subtraction on left - converted to mesh with mesh smoothing on right.
I just installed SP4 for Vectorworks 2021 and it looks like this issue hasn't been fixed.
I still have smooth curved geometry showing up as low poly geometry in Enscape.
Enscape and vectorworks crash after opening a solid subtraction to edit. It only occurs when enscape live viewer is active.
An easy enough workaround is to edit while the viewer isn't active but it is still inconvenient.
I'm having issues with the animated texture feature. Only the first frame of the .mp4 file displays on the object but it doesn't play the video.
Is this a bug?
Thanks for any help.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I think i've managed to wrap my head around what is possible with materials and lights
Is there a way to have an image texture emit light, such as a TV screen?
I was wondering if there was a resource somewhere that could show how vectorworks materials work with enscape.
perhaps a settings guide for specific material types?
I'm unable to figure out how to get emissive materials to work.
Also, is there a proper method for area lights within vectorworks for enscape?
I would appreciate any help you could give.
