The lighting is also frustratingly inconsistent in Enscape and often doesn't match up with the specs and photometrics.

I'm getting very inconsistent results with my light fixtures suddenly turning off when I move the fixture to certain distances away from a surface or wall. In this case I am using a linear family and Linear IES provided by the manufacturer. Very confused as I've never had this happen before. I've attached the enscape render and what you should be seeing from elumtools. Thanks.

Here is an image of the linear IES in dialux. I can't get close to recreating this in enscape with the rectangle or line as they behave more like spotlights and not linear light sources.

I'm trying to create a linear light emitting from the underside of this handrail. However the emit from line and rectangular shape give me significant scalloping and don't see different from one another. Also when will Enscape support Linear IES files?

Is it possible to place the enscape rendered asset inside the revit model instead of using the placeholder?

medmonds Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for your reply Demian Gutberlet I've tried the self illumination but when it renders the light doesnt graze the wall very far, any tips for improving the effect?

I created this family using the emit from line shape source inside a self illuminated poly tube. In Revit it renders properly but enscape shows up as a spotight. My drivers are up to date.
