I have two possible solutions:
1. try rendering at higher quality
2. try making your walls thick
wonderful!
yes absolutely!!!!
Hi to the DEVs team!
I found a little thing puzzling: when we now try to set DOF, we have sort of a "plane" going nearer/further; instead, the focal field should be individuated between TWO planes. The greater the DOF value, the wider the distance between the two planes (so, the more objects in focus). At the moment, to me is nearly impossible to control the objects which have to be in focus and those which I want to be out of focus, maybe a little more control over this could be of help to many.
+1 to Micha's post
Hi to the forum!
I still get this issue, which is very annoying and prevent Enscape from making a realistic image of what I'm trying to render.
The logo is actually the same but based on the distance from the camera, it does not cast light on the blue beam....... How can this be fixed?
Thanks a ton, I'll give it a go ASAP
I'm working on these day with presets and I'd like to add my two cents to the topic.
1. I confirm that would be VERY useful to store the preset configuration per sketchup scene
2. At the moment it's not clear what I'm "saving to file" if I try and export the settings: i don't know if I'm exporting ALL presents or only current (I found by trial-error to be only the current, correct me if I'm wrong)
3. Could be useful to implement the export of ALL settings present in a SU file.
That's my contribution for now, tahnks!
Done!
Let me know if you find where the problem lies.
Wondeful! Can't explain why I never stumbled on that before.. Thank you!
hi Devri? what is the plugin you're talking about?
Display Moreyes, we are absolutely aware of this
and in principle that is exactly what we want but we want the option to have more reflections for rendering / animation - I fully understand the idea of having a realtime system with fast respond time -> that is great for editing , test rendering and VR...
...but for our final renderings we need to be able to switch to a high quality mode !
As far as I understand it e.g. the lack of reflections is caused by the optimization algorithms you use to keep a high response rate, probably something like the objects distance , polycount, material properties will disqualify it/them from being calculated. If you and Clemens are stating that Enscape is already modifying the parameters and thresholds used for the calculation when doing renderings/animations, then we are basically just asking for more range here. Give the user the possibility to decide how much optimization/speed vs. quality/reflections he would like to use for rendering. If you think this is to difficult / dangerous for beginners make it a command line option ...
Andreas
I strongly agree with Andreas about this topic. Enscape is fantastic and it's clear to everybody that it aims to the average user efficiency, where "average user" means all the cases we want a fast feedback on a rather simple project. Frequently, that rather simple project turns into a very complex one, during the next phases, so it's important to include all the objects in the final renders. I think that we can stick to the current settings for the live preview (which make the live preview very fast) but we shoukd be able to include everything we want when we launch the final calculation.
Hi!
I encounter a bug which makes SketchUp quit when I try to save an external model for Enscape starting from a component which contains subgroups.
is this something you guys are already aware of?
Hi Egie!the "dolly" is the rotation on the horizontal axis of the camera, so you get a non-horizontal horizon
Hi guys! Is there any chance I can adjust the dolly in the enscape view to mach sketchup's?
Wow Mathias! It's very kind of you! thanks for having shared!
+1 to all the requests for a more practical way to place lights.
Could be useful to prepare "Light Components" with the "glue to any plane" option active, so that when we import them the component's origin sticks to the actual plane we are clicking on. Just a hint.
I'm interested in this topic too. I have several cases in which a basic ultra standard material has a little translucency, at the moment I cannot achieve this at all. Please help us out!
