Oh that sounds great -> wich pcie expansion box do you use? The Alienware box with the special connection is running out yet
-
That sounds great, can you give us more info about the computer set up/ specs? I consider an Alienware X17 laptop with this solution.
-
Thank for your considerations Rifkin, a good help
-
I have also some thoughts about the fan noise..... it disturbes me - a lot -.
Can I say the rule is: the more powerfull the laptop > the less fan noise before it exceeds maximum capacity?
The X17 has an innovative cooling system, with 4 (!) fan units..... does that give inevetably give more noise?

Hi everyone!
Ok then, here comes the new Alienware X17 laptop, I was wondering what specs are (most) important to optimal use with Revit & Enscape,
when you don't want to pay the higest price if not needed?
I'm working with large (linked) project files in Revit and also important is the use of my HTC Vive Pro VR. Mayby change it to an Pro 2 version.......
CPU
- Core i7-11800H, or
- Core i9-11900HKGPU
- GeForce RTX 3060 (115 W + 15 W Dynamic Boost)
- GeForce RTX 3070 (125 W + 15 W Dynamic Boost)
- GeForce RTX 3080 (150 W + 15 W Dynamic Boost)RAM
- 32GB DDR4 3200MHz
- 64GB DDR4 XMP 3466 MHz
Display
- 17.3-inch 1080p 165 Hz 3 ms 300-nits sRGB, or
- 1080p 360 Hz 1 ms 300-nits sRGB, or
- 1440p 120 Hz 4 ms 500-nits AdobeRGB(also for use as a photographer)
Do I forget something?
Thanks all

.................. But set the time of day and camera location from Enscape to Revit.
Unfortunately the time of day always flips back to a startup setting (8.30 AM) when opening the view. My setup for a view in Enscape in the beginning is another time, but when choosing the view again, it always start at the default Enscape time.........

I do have the same troubles with this issue, when preparing a camera setup & a sun/daytime, the camera view is stored in de Revit views, but the sun is returing to its original startpoint when returning to that camera view.
-
In previous versions of Enscape, when you set a view it would not only remember the view but also set it to the time of day captured. However, in the most recent update I am having trouble with this. I get the shadows and time of day correct and then save the view, but then the time of day changes when I go to that view again.
Am I doing something wrong?
Well, I got the same experiences, I will look after it in detail en let you know

Hi DPHORVATH, that looks very great! Could you give us more examples of the underneath panels of the material settings in Revit? And maybe it is possible to share the texture so we can investigate to get a proper similar result?
That would be very great!
Thankyou, Remco

jagostinhoCT , we'll add quite a lot more diverse people to our Asset Library with 2.7.1 which will release around mid march so stay tuned for that.
I'm also forwarding your feedback that you'd like to have more Saudi people available.
Do we have to manually update a (preview) version or is it automatically added to the library?

Well, I'm not really unhappy, but now I logged in in the PC version on my iPhone..... I guess I have to look for (another?) mobile web version?
Nevertheless I don't know nothing about making app's, but I assume it could be more friendly above a mobile web version............

Hello all,
I'm looking for a type of perspex or plastic material more or less translucent (?), white, for Revit and Enscape, but I did not succeed yet.
I want to set lighting behind it so it has to transmit lighting from behind.
See the photo for what I mean.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you,
Remco

Hi,
Maybe it is a convenient idea to make an Enscape App to look at the forum treads when we are travelling and we can look without a PC.
Tnx,
Remco

Hello,
I was wondering - has anyone here already made a in Enscape visible suspended ceiling system in Revit where you can see the visible grid?
For instance, the Ecophon solution is only working in Archicad I guess, but I have Revit. Another supplier is also possible or an independent one.
Thankyou!
