So i created this function to parametrically draw window blinds with little random variations (distance and angle) but now it seems the fabric is not very realistic.
As you can see the blinds in the shadow look transparent almost black...
How do i get my blinds more realistic?

Moving the light in front of the furniture seems to solve my problem, good enough for me. But would like to know why it does this...

i'm trying to make a led light underneath furniture using a line light. I made it 3m long, it is not abstructed by any other objects but i don't get the expected light.
I'm using v2.4.1.913
It just seems to create a spot light.

A bit related to this, is the following: I noticed in your Enscape EXE example i could walk through the frontdoor allthough it didn't open. Is this a revit feature? Can you define elements that are not obstructive?
hi, no the stand alone exe. it was the floor of an interior. I removed and added the map again and now it seems to work, don't know what happened. Possible did something wrong. Sorry about that, you can delete this thread.

i notice that Enscape in Sketchup always uses the same previous selected folder for different functions. I think it even relates to the latest used folder in sketchup to open a file.
It would be nice that the last used folder is saved for each individual function like: load and save path, export EXE, paths for enscape material maps...

Finally found a reseller who says he has the Vive Pro on stock, should be here on wednesday.
You enspired me to do something more with my first render project. I use Camtasia Studio, pretty basic but very easy to use.

I'm new to VR and would like to buy a headset. Unfortunally the HTC vive pro doesn't seem to be available as a complete set anywhere in the EU. However, for me to start with VR, viewing panorama's would be sufficient. So i could consider just buying the Oculus Go, but it seems this is not a good set when you wear glasses. Difficult to put on and you get scratched glasses... Maybe the Quest is better but we don't know yet.
So i was thinking to buy the HTC vive pro headset without base stations and controllers (the headset is easy available). Is it possible to use the HTC vive pro seated just for viewing pano's?

I agree this would make assigning materials much easier. You would just have to import a DWG file into a template sketchup drawing and all materials would be assigned.
Ever considered BricsCAD as a host application? I know, there are many ACAD clone applications, and you can't support all of them, but if you would have to choose one, it would definitly have to be BricsCAD. If you can compile Enscape for Revit you schould be able to compile it for BricsCAD too. It offers BIM too and they are recently offering a free scaled down version called BricsCAD SHAPE to lure Sketchup users.
We use it as host for our application too since 2010.
