Ok so.... 3DS max imports in DWG works great??
It happens automatically for new imports (but as noted before, not with sketchup imports, for now). So for example if you have a 3d .dwg, you just import that into Revit 2023 and the internal triangulation edges will be hidden automatically.
But this topic is about getting this to work -automatically- for Enscape assets in Revit 2023, which requires a (hopefully small) tweak to Enscape's code.
-
Yes but.....Revit Hides automatic or what? can you explain how to do it?
-
How i can hide those triangulation edges for imports????????????????????????
Revit 2023 now supports hiding triangulation edges for imports, including the types of imports that Enscape assets use for their placeholders. The good news: this means we can finally have good looking Enscape assets in plan, elevations and sections!
Unfortunately this doesn't apply automatically. For this to work, Enscape assets need to consist of a single mesh with all triangles attached (they share the points). This doesn't seem to be the case for now, which is why the internal edges of the mesh still show up.
Could the Enscape development team take a look at this. This is potentially a small fix that would have a huge impact for us working in Revit.
I have included an example of an import in Revit 2022 and one of the same import in Revit 2023. Note that this works only for newly imported files, existing imports will remain tessellated, even if you upgrade your file to Revit 2023.

I hope they add the functionality of ''Create Placeholder from Model imported''............. Not just a Box.................Same as manage the quantity of poligons of each model

Thanks for the efforts of the official team, but we need the following updates:
Higher quality outdoor plant material
Higher quality grass effect
Movable characters, vehicles, etc
Better rendering quality
Full glass mirror reflection
Rain and snow weather system

What happend with this topic? ....any news? .....nothing at all?????

WE NEED MORE INFORMATION, ROADMAPS ETC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enscape+chaos needs to beat D5 render, Lumion, twinmotion, the realism of UE itself it's Hard to be defeated, to be honest it will take years and a lot of effort but we can do this....and when enscape core be updated with chaos, finally sells a perpetual licence seat like vray and of course sells updates for separatelly

hello friends, i have a new request, it is possible that introduce the function of import an object with all its maps applied (FBX, OBJ) or maybe add a path of the textures and they applied automatically?
and too, i wish they add the function of create a proxy of the object that we are importing, a proxy that we can simplify playing with the poligons value, like transmutr, is too much to ask?
And finally, be able to import skp format or maybe Max to custom asset manager!!
-
Yes, that's what I thought was the issue. So, Nature is essentially showing preview / proxy geometry from the RhinoNatureLib until you bake it out? If i understand it correctly, and that's what you want Enscape to support? (sorry my RhinoNature trial has run out, I can't test it again right now - requested a license from the Nature author ;).
Can't promise anything, but will certainly take a closer look at this.
Sir!!! What about scattering tool for enscape? any news?
-
Thank you Jcastle , you're not the first to request this functionality - I have gladly forwarded your Feedback to our product management team!
thank you my dear friend!!! i hope this functionality came soon!
-
Please, all assets are created and mixed with others that do not belong to a specific category, if you can be so kind to give the possibility to create an asset and place it in a specific category for better organization and a better workflow.... thanks in advance !!!
-
how do you link a model from sketchup to revit????
-
officeBKK , thanks a lot for your inquiry.
We want to eventually provide a scatter tool ourselves natively through Enscape, but I will also gladly forward your wish to have this new Rhino addition supported if it won't work straight out of the box. I appreciate your input!
wow!!!!!!!!!! scatter tool would be awesomeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This might be helpful to you: Scattering Vegetation in Revit | Enscape 2.9
But thats only for maxtree families or not? i can use enscape proxies?
-
Hey guys, we at Globe Plants will be introducing our vegetation models for Enscape Custom Asset Library hopefully early next week. Our low poly models are reduced heavily in polygon to approx 100k max for very complex species and most species are roughly around 10k polygons.
You can use our assets for Revit/Vectorworks/SketchUp/Rhino with Enscape.
Please look forward to them
Ohh woooowww.. thats really cool!! lets see them!

I'm afraid I don't have much to add. Indeed Transmutr can only produce SketchUp files for now.
Make trasmutr for revit... we need those 3ds max assets
-
Proxy your high poly objects. Transmutr works great as well for polygon reduction
hello friend, how can i do that? i use revit, and i didn't heard about transmutr before!
-
I am waiting for someone to tell me when they plan to launch the detailed vegetation, the current vegetation being not detailed makes the composition less realistic ..... I cannot bring a Maxtree model because it has too many polygons, I have tried to reduce them but still, a tree can bring 1700000 polygons, if I reduce them I will lose the detail I am looking for................
